Anxiety and Stress Relieve Breathing Exercise

Make yourself comfortable in a seated position and look at the image

You may choose to set a timer for this exercise for 10-15mins.

  1. Sit up in a comfortable position and relax. You may look at this image during this breathing exercise, or you may choose to close your eyes at anytime also.
  2. picture a box image in your mind as you count in and hold each sequence of 5 seconds and length of breath.
  3. Breathe in through your nose for the count of 5seconds, hold your breath for the count of 5seconds,
  4. Breath out through your mouth for the count of 5seconds, and hold your breath for the count of 5 seconds,
  5. Repeat breathing in again, through the nose for the count of 5 seconds, hold your breath for the count of 5 seconds then breathe out for the count of 5 through your mouth.
